Lazada Singapore has signed an agreement with the Combat Service Support Command (CSSCOM) of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) to offer certain products for purchase on Lazada’s e-commerce platform.
Lazada’s Lifestylemart store will initially offer items such as towels, running shoes and apparel in a pilot launch. During the pilot, the assortment can be purchased using Lazada’s payment solutions and delivered to customers through Lazada’s delivery partner network.
Meanwhile, the eMart is a kit replacement system for National Full-Time Servicemen (NSF) and National Service-Ready Servicemen (NSmen). Physical outlets can be found at select SAF camps and two commercially accessible retail stores in Singapore.
The launch of the Lifestylemart store on Lazada is expected to benefit all National Servicemen, who will be able to shop at their convenience and have the items delivered to their doorsteps. According to the signed agreement, Lazada and the Combat Service Support Command will open opportunities for exchanges and cross-learning in the areas of e-commerce expertise, supply chain management strategies and sustainability initiatives. , enabling the public and private sectors to share ideas and lessons to further improve existing systems and practices.
