Penguin turns around, then steals off-road go-kart at Murdoch in Parker – CBS Denver

PARKER, Colorado (CBS4) – An effort is underway in Parker to locate a man and woman who stole an off-road kart from a ranch supply store. This happened a week ago at Murdoch’s in the 9800 block of South Parker Road, and followed an incident earlier in the month when the man unsuccessfully attempted to steal a similar kart.

Parker’s police released somewhat grainy surveillance footage on Thursday that shows the two, and they hope the public will help them identify. They noted that the man has only one arm.

The previous incident happened on September 11. At 4:20 p.m., police said the man left the store in one of the karts without paying. Shortly after, he crashed and knocked the vehicle over on the roof. After that he gave up the kart and drove off in a white Ford F-150. The surveillance image released by the police of the accident shows the man upside down behind the wheel of the kart.

In the September 24 crime, the man and woman were driving what could have been the same Ford F-150, and it didn’t appear to have license plates. They were parked in a place reserved for the disabled and had a trailer attached to the rear. A surveillance image shows them loading a go-kart on it.

After loading the kart, the police say they drove off without paying. Security footage shows the one-armed man wearing some sort of balaclava on his head and an all-black outfit. He was described as a beefy and Hispanic who stood between 5 feet 10 and 6 feet.
