Bankova announced the daily losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the war with Russia

Podolyak says now the losses are much lower than in June.

Ukraine has managed to cut combat losses by three compared to early June when they amounted to 100-200 soldiers per day.

Mikhail Podolyak, the adviser to the head of the president’s office, told BBC Ukraine about it.

According to him, about 30 to 50 people die daily at the front.

“But, again, it’s not quite right for us to talk about it. It is more correct when the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will give precise figures on the number of dead,” he added. he added.

According to Podolyak, the heavy losses in June were due to the transition to the second stage of the war, when an artillery war began and the enemy “filled” the Ukrainian positions.

“But today the number of casualties is decreasing, first of all because our MLRS are working very efficiently in the logistics centers of the Russian army. Second, the Russian army is redeployed along the entire front line. And thirdly, ours have already adapted to the tactics of the Russian army and to a more mobile and efficient defense, ” he explained.

  • On June 1, in an interview, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that between 60 and 100 Ukrainian soldiers die at the front every day. About 500 more people are injured every day.
  • Even earlier, in mid-April, the President announced to the media the death toll from 2.5 to 3 thousand servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the war against the invaders. At the same time, around 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers were injured and “it is difficult to say how many will survive”.
  • The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not publish information about the losses of our army.
